In addition to important museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts, the Contemporary Arts Museum, and the Menil Collection, the City has numerous commercial galleries and alternative spaces, including Project Row Houses, DiverseWorks, Lawndale Art Center, Houston Center For Photography, and Artists Bookworks, Houston. Houston is also home to other nationally recognized arts insitutions, including the Houston Ballet, the Houston Symphony, the Houston Grand Opera, the Alley Theater, and many small theater, dance and musical groups.
